Don't Forget the Wedding Program!
Your wedding program completes your wedding ensemble. It is such an important detail and also helps to set the tone of your wedding. The copy should be simple and easy to read. Below are some great ideas for you.
Personalize your program
You might want to add your names or a beautiful monogram on the top and front of your program along with your wedding date, time and location. Your guests will certainly want to keep your program for a keepsake.
Include everyone that participates in your wedding ceremony in your wedding program. That might include the officiant, your parents, grandparents, wedding party, personal attendants, musicians and readers.
Order of worship
Include the order of worship, the responses to prayers and the hymn numbers so that guests can follow along with the service. Also list the names of the processional and recessional music and solos along with the composers.
On the last page, include a thank you message to your guests. This is also a place to mention family members and friends who could not be with you on your special day. You might also remember those loved ones who have passed.
You might also add at the end of the service a polite request such as no flash photography and please turn off all cell phones.
…and some fun
Have some fun and include an interesting fact or detail about each member of your wedding party. You might also write a timeline of your “love story” with the date that you met and the circumstances, your first kiss and details of the proposal
